Solatube was invented in Australia in 1986. Continuous product development since these early days has made it the leading tubular skylight in the market today.
Very simply, a clear dome on the roof collects natural light which is channelled down through super reflective tubing directly where it is needed in the room below. Thanks to its many innovative features it ensures maximum light transfer even on cloudy days - simple in concept, yet remarkably effective.
Solatube ® is available in a range of sizes (250, 350, and 530mm diameter) for both commercial and domestic applications, with a range of accessories and options to suit.
250mm diameter Solatube ® is the most compact tubular skylight with an effective lighting area of up to 13 sq metres (150 sq ft). It is most suited to applications such as window-less bathrooms, hallways, attics, small stairwells and walk-in closets. Accessories include an integral electric light kit and bathroom ventilation system.
350mm diameter Solatube ® - with an effective lighting area of up to 22 sq metres (250 sq ft), suitable for larger rooms in the home such as living spaces, kitchens, large stairwells, playrooms and bedrooms. An integral electric light kit is available.
